Brooke Mueller granted $55,000 a month in child support as Charlie Sheen divorce is finalized

Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are now officially divorced after papers were finalized today, marking the end of their three-year marriage.

Brooke has reportedly been granted $55,000 a month in child support on top of a lump sum of $757,698.70 and another $1 million for her share of their marital home, according to TMZ.
Charlie, 45, will keep the family home though and the settlement documents are said to state: ‘Under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max be less than the child support paid by Charlie to Denise Richards for Sam and Lola.’

The finalised divorce settlement comes after Sheen lost his bid for custody of his two-year-old twin sons with Mueller last month.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Hank Goldberg said it was ‘in the best interest of the children’ because of ‘questions of abuse and other inflammatory and emotional issues.’

The judge then decided that the couple will continue to share custody under the existing agreement.
Sheen had been seeking temporary custody of the boys following reports that Mueller, 33, had returned to rehab after a week of alleged substance abuse.
The judge was aware that Brooke had had a drug relapse but is said to have been equally disturbed by Charlie bragging about his substance abuse.

Charlie and Brooke married on May 30, 2008, but the actor filed for divorce in November last year after a string of domestic incidents with his third wife.
On Christmas Day in 2009, Sheen was arrested in Aspen, Colorado, after police responded to a domestic violence call.
He pleaded guilty last year to the assault on Brooke after she claimed he held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her during the incident.
The former couple have both battled substance abuse and Mueller was treated at a rehab clinic for a crack cocaine addiction.
During the past year Sheen has also been under scrutiny for trashing a hotel room while porn actress Capri Anderson was locked in the bathroom.
He was then allegedly found ‘intoxicated’ and naked in the hotel by police following the incident.

Since splitting with Mueller, Sheen adopted an unusual domestic relationship with a string of girlfriends that he calls his ‘goddesses’.
Earlier this year he described the relationship with his live-in girlfriends as a ‘polygamy story’ and said he makes Hugh Hefner look like ‘an amateur’.
He was living with his former nanny Natalie Kenly and porn star Rachel Oberlin, sometimes known as Bree Olson.
Rachel Oberlin is no longer seeing Sheen though and last month had her own run in with police after being found guilty of drunk driving.
Over the weekend, the Two And A Half Men star seemed to be taking his mind off his hefty child support payments and divorce by continuing his US tour Torpedo of Truth.
Charlie was at the Chateau Club in Las Vegas with Natalie Kenly following his San Fransisco show.
But despite trying to party his sorrows away, the actor still appeared to have a lot on his mind and was spotted looking glum at the club.
